Riverfront at Las Colonias Business Park
You may have noticed new buildings pop up around Grand Junction. The groundbreaking ceremony of Las Colonias business park was last Friday (March 20,2018) as the project became officials. This new development is committed to the outdoor industry in Grand Junction. This project has been well received by many community members as the outdoor recreation business park was gifted $800,000 by Irv Halter, executive director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. Las Colonias will have man-made lakes, multiple new buildings, restaurant, retail and a zipline! The hope is that this will support the community as well as help our growing rural economy.

Palisade's Wine Country Inn
There is an expansion and remodeling going on at The Wine Country Inn (Palisade's largest ful- service hotel). This expansion will include a ballroom and restaurant (hoping to open by Aug. 1). The previous restaurant had little cooking area for the chefs and only seated about 32.  It now will have more area for preparation as well as almost double in capacity. Currently the ballroom can hold about 100 and the expansion should allow for 150 to 200 guests! This will hopefully increase people's interest in hosting weddings and large events.

A New Hotel Coming to Grand Junction
A new hotel will be opening in 2019.  It will be a Tru by Hilton and will be on Colorado Avenue between 2nd and 3rd streets. This will be the fourth hotel in the area, but with the increasing tourism coming to our town, it will be well-used. Two Rivers Convention Center is also set to expand, so this will mean an increase in visitors needing a place to stay.

Dog Dynasty
Tosha Long already owns two successful pet spas/ grooming and is planning on opening another in downtown Grand Junction. She will be moving in to the space next to the eBricks Lego store and hope to open June 1. She is also planning on opening a cat hotel right behind the new space.  It's always great to have a friendly and fun place to board our furry friends!  Long said she plans on having an activity schedule for your dog that includes walks, games, and more.

Art Gallery Grand Opening TOMORROW
Red Lion Gallery & Studio will have their grand opening tomorrow on the second floor of the Margery Building (523 1/2 Main St. Room No. 12). Head over to this event at 7 p.m. and enjoy appetizers from Flavours by Sodexo and local Colorado wine.
