Hello Homeowners,
We have been advised by Redlands Water & Power they are planning to start filling the canals for our area on Monday 4/17. Giving them time to fill, then giving our ponds time to fill and settle, we are advising that you are OK to turn your systems on on Thursday April 20th after 8am. Again, please TURN OFF THE MAIN VALVE TO YOUR SYSTEM prior to the 20th to prevent flooding of yours and your neighbors yards. Every year we have one or two homes that fail to do this-you are responsible for any water damage that occurs.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and assistance

Hello homeowners,
We have been advised that irrigation water will be coming our way around the 18th of April - this coming Monday. As we do every year we are reminding everyone to CLOSE THE MAIN VALVE TO YOUR SYSTEM to avoid flooding or excess water in your yard as the lines are pressurized. If you have questions about where this valve is, please contact a local irrigation or landscape company for assistance. We will send one additional message advising a firm date when you can turn your systems on so please check your e-mail for updates.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hello Homeowners,
Please be aware we are experiencing an apparent increase in coyote activity in Canyon Rim. Several homeowners have had coyotes in their backyards and they have been active in the streets and front yards. The following advice is given by Colorado Parks & Wildlife regarding coyotes:
· Never Feed Coyotes!
· Remove attractants from your yard, including pet food, water sources, bird feeders, and fallen fruit.
· Secure trash in a container with a locking lid. Do not put trash out the night before trash pickup-put trash out the morning of pick up.
· Never approach wildlife. If a coyote approaches, yell, throw rocks or sticks at it, spray with a hose, or bang pots and pans.
· Do not run or turn your back
· Be as big and loud as possible
· Wave your arms and throw objects
· Face the coyote and back away slowly
· If attacked, fight back
· Keep pets on a short (6-foot) leash
· Use extra caution dusk through dawn
· Avoid known or potential den sites and thick vegetation
· Do not allow dogs to play or interact with coyote
· Pick up small pets if confronted by a coyote.
· Always supervise your pet when outside, especially at dawn or dusk.
· Never leave cats or dogs outside after dark.
· Don't leave pet food outside.
· If you must leave your pet outside, secure it in a fully enclosed kennel.
If you have concerns about an encounter with a coyote:
· Recreate during daylight hours.
· Walk with a walking stick.
· Keep a deterrent spray handy.
· Carry noise makers or rocks to throw.
There are many folks in Canyon Rim with smaller pets - please be aware of this information to hopefully avoid any unfortunate encounter.
Thanks everyone.
