The Palisade Peach Festival is held the third weekend of August every year at Riverbend Park in Palisade. Mark your calendar to join in and celebrate the time of year that Palisade's peaches are perfect. The tradition of having a peach harvest festival goes back decades, at least as far as Peach Days in the late 1800s. Although the carnival rides are a new addition, at least one thing that could be found every year is an abundance of peach-infused foods: pie, ice cream, preserves, salsa, brandy, wine and lots of peaches themselves. Each year, there are cooking demos and a peach-eating contest to help facilitate the consumption of as many peaches as possible while they're at their best.

And don't forget about the many events that you will be able to enjoy. Thursday, August 18th, kicks things off with a free ice cream social followed by the crowning of the Peach Queen and court. Friday and Saturday are filled with so many events it would be hard to list them all off, but make sure not the miss the Orchard Farm Tours on Friday morning, the many bands performing at the Peach Jam Stage all afternoon on Friday and Saturday, or the Feast in the Field on Friday and Saturday evening.

The Palisade Peach Fest is sure to please, with food and fun for the whole family!
