Grand Junction Market Update

Posted: May 02, 2022 by Inactive Shanna Shepherd

Grand Junction's spring housing market has continued the trend of low inventory paired with high buyer demand. Average home prices for the month of April was up 12% from 2021 at $428,593. The low inventory led to a decrease of 22% in the total number of homes sold compared to the same period last year. The GJ market headed into May with 283 active listings.

As mortgage rates and home prices continue to rise, buyers are eager to make a move. The competitive nature of today's market has created opportunity for sellers to take advantage of the higher home prices, before more inventory enters the market.
