Situated at the western edge of the Rocky Mountains and about 25 miles east of the Colorado/Utah border Grand Junction is the largest population center between Denver and Salt Lake City. It serves as the hub for much of the western slope communities of Colorado and eastern Utah.
Transportation access includes Interstate - 70, the Grand Junction Regional Airport, and Amtrak.
Grand Junction is home to Mesa State College, the Grand Junction Symphony and three Major hospitals including St. Mary's hospital and Medical Center, Community Hospital and the Veterans Hospital.
