THE BRONCOS ARE HEADED TO THE SUPERBOWL!

OH YEAH BABY!  The Denver Broncos are taking their super powers to Santa Clara, CA on February 7th, 2016 to take on the Carolina Panthers. While everyone else is pondering whether Manning can bring the Vince Lombardi trophy home again, we are thinking about the most important part of the Super Bowl: the food.

First  let's break down a few basic facts about the amount of food consumed in American during the biggest sporting event of the year. According to various internet sources:

*Super Bowl Sunday is second only to Thanksgiving for the most food consumed.

*8 million pounds of guacamole will be escorted to your face by about 15,000 tons of chips. TONS.

*49.2 million cases of beer will be sold ON Super Bowl Sunday. That's right... that doesn't even count the folks who do their shopping ahead of time.

*More than 1.25 billion chicken wings will be slathered in sauce and smeared all over your couch and carpet.

*Antacid sales increase by 20% the day after the Bowl. That number is probably closely related to the percentage of workforce that calls in that Monday.

To get all this food consumed in ONE day we all have to do our part. I mean, this can't just happen if we all stick to our January resolutions. But how much really do we consume on this most delicious snack-filled day of the year?

6,000 calories. YES. 3 times your daily recommended intake.

So here is a recipe for you to keep those calories high and mighty. After all, you have a duty to your country to keep Super Bowl Sunday legendary.

The Greatest Queso That Ever Lived courtesy of tastykitchen.com
1 block (32 oz) Velveeta Cheese
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese
1 can Rotel
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 pound ground beef or sausage (or both!)

Brown the meat and set aside. Cube the cheese and place in a crock pot. Add remaining ingredient and stir together. Cook on LOW for about 1 hour. Stir frequently. You can keep crock on low to keep queso warm.

GO BRONCOS!!!
